“Presenting to you one of the scenes most exciting new skool DnB Dancefloor Producers”

Since 2006, Callide has set in stone his imprint as a consistently solid dancefloor producer and DJ in the Drum and Bass music industry. He’s internationally recognised for his tough edged, gritty dancefloor tracks, and has had numerous releases on some of the world’s biggest DnB labels. On weekends you’ll often hear his new tracks getting the rewind on Radio 1, along with hearing them from dancefloor to dancefloor all over the world!

It all started in 2005 when he became the unanimous winner in the highly reputed BBC ‘1Xtra Cutting Room’ competition. Since then, Callide has topped the sales charts with some massive releases, touching down on labels such a Ram Records, 36 Hertz, Mix n Blen, Sonic Art, Junction 11 and Deadly Records, he’s also had numerous releases on his own labels System Shock Recordings and Mechanical Audio.

He’s travelled all over the globe with his label System Shock touring Latin America, Europe and the US. In 2008 he joined the likes of Kenny Ken, Crissy Chris and Mace to become the newest member of the Mix n Blen camp with his release ‘Nuclear Warhead’ and in 2009 he caught the eye of the number one DJ in DnB, from Ram Records, Andy C. From Global Gathering to Los Angeles, the new ‘Callide Cuts’ were getting dropped with instant rewinds. 2009 also brought a huge amount of international bookings, and 2 massive collaborations with man of the moment Camo (Mash dem Down / 9000 Series), and DJ Soulpride (Danger Dub) .

2010 kicked off in a big way, with a System Shock release party in Portugal with Zona 6, along with his forthcoming clip of ‘Ecstacy Rising’ on Junction 11 reaching over 150, 000 hits on You-Tube alone. Ca
llide made his 3rd appearance in KnowledgeMag with an interview and podcast mix, and his tracks ‘Badboy Sound ft Dread MC Remix’ and ‘Ecstasy Rising’ topped the sales charts.

His anthem track ‘Supreme’ saw a release on Ram Records and became one of Andy C’s pioneering tunes over the course of 2009-2010 and a key ingredient to the legendary Nightlife 5 movement. Callide’s collab with Tyke (Grid) ‘Set Style’ saw a release on Sonic Art, and was featured as DJ Hazard’s intro tune for a big part of 2010.

2011 saw his releases ‘No More’ and ’88 Track’ getting huge support on BBC Radio 1, along with his track ‘The Gun Man’ instantly taking ‘The Ace of Clubs’ feature on 1Xtra two weeks in a row. Callide headed up a 4 track E.P on 36 hertz along with remixing the label’s biggest tune ‘Paper Cutz by DJ Vapour’. He just recently finished a brand new remix of ‘Breakdown by Dawnraid’ and is currently in talks about an exciting new project with Jungle Drummer from London Elektricity. The mighty ‘Bass Face L.P’ touched down in September and showcased 8 new dancefloor tracks representing the many versatile styles Callide holds. Already this year he’s performed in places such as Porto, Lisbon, Belgium, Los Angeles, Barcelona, Paris, Prague and Italy to name a few.

Callide is well known for his DJ skills and creativity on the decks. He’s appeared on the bill for events such as Random Concept, Movement, Naughty but Nice, Fresh L.A, Gener8er and Devotion, and has featured on the airwaves for Radio 1, Ministry of Sound, Bass Drive, Planet DnB and Life FM. Callide holds down various residencies around the UK and abroad but most of all enjoys supporting the ever growing local scene alongside local stars and a wealth of up and coming artists.

Highly recommended by IDJ Mag, featured in Knowledge and marked in ATM as a ‘leader of the new school’, with future ventures planned around Europe, The U.S, South America and Canada, along with further discussions with Ram Records, watch this space…things are gona get crazy.

Quotes

Jungle Drummer - London Elektricity - “Callide is pushing the boundaries, and leading the way the new sound of modern jungle”

DJ Vapour – 36 Hertz “Callide is putting the bass back in to Drum and Bass, a ridiculously good producer who sits firmly in every set I play”

Crystal Clear – Tru Playaz – “Beats are lashing…full throttle, solid!”

J Science – KnowledgeMag – “With so much saturation in the crowded genre of jump up, it takes a certain some thing to stand out amongst the imitators, a certain some thing that quite clearly Callide has in abundance, dancefloor destruction guaranteed with every release, each one more deadly than the last, and whilst others continue to imitate Callide stands at the fore front, one of the few to still push the envelope of the genre and originate”

DJ Support –  Grooverider,  Loadstar , Pendulum, Friction , Andy C, Hazard, Fabio, Shortee, Camo, Brookes Brothers, Ruffstuff, Crissy Chris to name a few…
